Rental Agreement

Read below for full terms and conditions of this rental transaction. In summary, we promise to ship the right book to you to use for as long as the rental term, and you promise to send it back. The book belongs to us, not you. If you don't send it back, your credit card will automatically be charged as if you've extended the rental for an additional 15 days. If you never send it back, you'll be charged the difference between what you already paid in rental fees, and the purchase price of the book, and the book will be yours to keep forever.

You, the renter, and TextbookRentalStore.com, a partner of bearnecessities enter into this agreement.

Book Condition
We guarantee to send you the correct book according to your order. Your book will be in an acceptable used or better condition. We may send a hardback in place of a paper back or vise versa, and it could be an instructor's edition if it is deemed to be identical (except for the instructor's notes). Rented books will likely be used, meaning that any supplemental materials like access codes, workbooks, CD ROMs, etc., cannot be guaranteed to be included with the book, even if the title indicates they will. Be sure that you have access to, or don't need, the supplements before you order.

Shipping Time Frame
We work diligently to get orders processed and shipped as fast as possible. We do have a 24-48 hour processing period (this does not include weekends or major holidays). Your books may arrive in separate packages either from the Textbook Rental Store warehouse or from one of our suppliers. The packing slips you receive with the books will not contain your bookstore or school logo. We have two shipping time frames 7-14 business days and 5-8 business days not including the processing period. Ownership
Books rented from Textbook Rental Store are the property of Textbook Rental Store unless you purchase the book, which you can do at any time (see buying your books below).

Agreement to Return Books
You agree to return your rented textbooks, by dropping them off at your bookstore, on or before your due date. If you do not return your books on time, you will be charged 15 day rental extensions to keep the rental current.

Care of Textbooks
You agree to keep your rented books in an acceptable used condition. Highlighting and limited writing is allowed, so long as it does not interfere with the text itself or the learning experience of the next student.

Loss / Damage Protection
Loss / Damage protection gives you peace of mind at an affordable price. If you select the Loss / Damage protection option, your books will be covered against damage, loss or theft for a small fee equal to 25% of the initial rental amount. You will promptly be sent out a replacement (if you still need the book) or your purchase/replacement costs will be waived. See the example and term and conditions below.

Example: If you rent a textbook for $48, its value is about $129. If the book was not protected and needed to be replace, you would need to pay the difference, which is in this case, $81. With Loss / Damage protection however, you would pay a fee equal to only 25% of the rental price, or $12... a savings of $69.

Terms and Conditions of Loss / Damage Protection
Loss / Damage protection is not required. Books can only be protected against damage / loss at time of initial rental or re-rental. The Loss / Damage protection price varies based on the book. Books not protected will be subject to full replacement costs should they become lost, damaged beyond reasonable use, or stolen. Protection period is for the rental period and the 15 day grace period only. Protection will not transfer to any other book, including a replacement book, unless it is purchased on the replacement book at the time of replacement. The 25% fee must be paid via credit card at the time of any damage / loss claim. Protection covers rented textbooks against theft, loss or damage that deems the book unusable and invaluable. Textbook Rental Store reserves the right to decline Loss / Damage protection to any customer if there are any detections of fraud or misuse. All claims must be submitted to bearnecessities@textbookrentalstore.com. Please provide your order number and the title of the book you are making a claim against. Claims are processed within two business days.

Right to Cancel Orders
Textbook Rental Store reserves the right to cancel any order that results from an error due to erroneous information, typographical errors, or any other type of incorrect pricing or information.

Return and Refund Policy
Any book returned within 30 days of your order date will be refunded in full. Orders that have a 30 day rental period or less are subject to a 15 day return policy (must be returned within 15 days of your order date).

Liability
Textbook Rental Store will not be held liable for any damage of any kind beyond the rental price of the textbook. Books that are lost in transit will be replaced at no charge to you, however, Textbook Rental Store will not be held liable for poor performance in school or any other tort stemming from the rental or non-receipt of the rented textbook.
